Scholarships

McKendree University is excited to provide academically talented first-year students with the following scholarship opportunities:

Dean's Scholarship

Dean's Scholarships, valued at $6,500 per year are awarded to first-year students at the time of admission that have either a 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale or an ACT composite score of 22 or higher.

Presidential Scholarship

Presidential Scholarships, valued at $8,000 per year are awarded to first-year students at the time of admission that have both a 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale and an ACT composite score of 22 or higher.

Honor's Scholarship

Honor's Scholarships, valued at $12,000 per year are awarded to first-year students at the time of admission that have both a 3.6 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale and an ACT composite score of 27 or higher.

Students receiving the Honor's Scholarship have earned a place in the McKendree University Honor's Program.

McKendree Leadership Award

Presidential and Honor's Scholars that attend the Leadership Competition are eligible to receive a McKendree Leadership Award. These awards range in value from $1,000 to $5,000.

The Leadership Competition for students starting in the Fall of 2012 was held the weekend of January 28 and 29, 2012.  For students interested in joining the McKendree community in the Fall of 2013, the Leadership Competition will be held January 26 and 27, 2013. Registration will become available in November 2012.
