Applying for Aid
You can complete the FAFSA electronically (www.fafsa.gov ) or by submitting the paper application. It is recommended you complete the FAFSA,
as soon as possible, after January 1 of the year you plan to enroll in college. After
you have completed the FAFSA, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) and each
college you listed on the FAFSA will receive your information. The expected family
contribution (EFC) generated from the FAFSA is used to determine your eligibility
for aid.
We strongly recommend creating a folder for all of your financial aid documents.
We also emphasize keeping a copy of every document you submit to either McKendree
or other organizations.
