(LOUISVILLE / RADCLIFF, Ky., June 10, 2015) — The Class of 2015 graduates of McKendree University’s Louisville and Radcliff campuses received their diplomas and awards were presented at commencement exercises held on June 6 at the First Christian Church in Elizabethtown, Ky.

Lisa Hinton, of Elizabethtown, Ky., received the “Spirit of McKendree Award” for academic excellence, character and community mindedness. Hinton joined the Radcliff campus staff in 2010 and now serves as a student success advisor, financial services coordinator and VA certifying official. She graduated in 2015 with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting and a 3.9 cumulative grade point average. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Sigma Beta Delta honor societies and “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.”

Outstanding Faculty Awards were presented to Sara Bolten, a certified nurse educator and full-time nursing instructor; and Donna Ulrich, a human resource management instructor at the Radcliff campus.

Bolten is known by students and colleagues as a selfless and dedicated educator who is passionate about nursing, and who guides and supports her students as their teacher and advisor. She has taught at McKendree’s Kentucky campuses since 1997.

Ulrich brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom as a sought after human resource management professional who speaks frequently at conferences and provides consultation to organizations in crisis. She joined the Radcliff campus in the fall of 2014.

This year, McKendree University conferred a total of 715 degrees—three doctorate, 13 specialist, 153 master’s, 530 bachelor’s and 16 associate degrees—on graduates who completed their degree requirements in December 2014, and in May and July 2015. Twenty students at the Louisville and Radcliff, Ky., campuses graduated with honors: two summa cum laude, eight magna cum laude and 10 cum laude.
