McKendree Nursing Educators Gain Certification
Lebanon, Ill. — McKendree University nursing instructors Dr. Martha McDonald and Sara
Bolten, RN, MSN, recently gained certification as nurse educators from the National
League of Nursing. The credential is given following successful completion of the
Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) examination.
McDonald, associate professor of nursing, coordinates McKendree’s nursing programs in Southern Illinois. The Marion, Ill., resident recruits and mentors students in the university’s RN-to-BSN and MSN programs throughout the region.
