What a great graduation weekend at McKendree! The rain held off and all activities took place as planned. This was the first year for two new graduation events. The Senior Farewell Service took place at the Hett and was well received. Following the service, our Seniors, along with our graduate school students, joined around the fountain for the Graduation Celebration Dinner. What a great evening of conversation, dinner and entertainment. Click here to see photos from the Graduation Celebration Dinner.
There is still time to make donations to the Senior Class Gift which was presented to President Dennis during the Senior Farewell Service on May 8. The gift is nearing $3,500! If you haven't yet made a gift and would like to make a secure on-line gift, please do so by clicking here. If you'd like to speak with someone about your Senior Gift (and arrange to pick-up your free t-shirt), either call Allison Turner at 537-6500 or email her.
Honor Roll of Donors
The latest edition of The Magazine for McKendree contained our annual listing of our Honor Roll of Donors. Th edition also featured some great stories about our most senior alumni. Their experiences at McKendree in the 1920s and 1930s are very interesting.
Remember McKendree
Many of you recently received our spring appeal - Remember McKendree. We hope you enjoy the focus on our faculty. We are really proud of our faculty and the dedication they have for our students. I remember the impact they had on us when I was a student. Although I never had Fred "Prof" Fleming for a class, he was a legend on our campus.
With this appeal we are asking you to Remember McKendree in a new way; by making a gift to the McKendree Annual Fund. Giving to the Annual Fund allows current and future students the same great memories you have of McKendree. Gifts help make it possible for expanded scholarships, technology enhancements, facility maintenance - just to name a few ways your gifts help. Secure online gifts can be made by clicking here. If you have any questions about Remember McKendree, please give Allison Turner, Director of the Annual Fund, a call at 618-537-6500 or e-mail her.

The tradition of giving to McKendree:
McKendree students, parents, grandparents, friends and alumni continue a rich tradition of assisting our alma mater. This tradition, known as the McKendree Legacy, means current and future students are supported by the financial gifts and prayers of our friends and alumni. It is a legacy which began with the founding of our college.
On February 20, 1828, an organizational meeting was held to take definite action to establish a seminary. In the following days organizers sought subscriptions and 105 subscribers donated to support the Lebanon Seminary fund. These 105 subscribers are the founders of McKendree. Their gift paved the way for the purchase of the original campus and for the construction of the first buildings.
Today, your gifts to support McKendree University are just as meaningful. Please explore our web pages to see how your gift can be a benefit to our students and programs.
