William McKendree Society

The William McKendree Society is an organization of people dedicated to the advancement of McKendree through financial and personal involvement. The Society is named in honor of Bishop William McKendree, the first American-born bishop in the Methodist Church, who dedicated himself and his fortune to the establishment of a Christian college on the American frontier.

As the major donor society of McKendree, the William McKendree Society is part of the Annual Fund. Its purpose is to foster an environment among alumni, parents and friends of the university that is conducive to significant fundraising and volunteer leadership.

William McKendree Society membership is open to alumni, parents, and friends who meet or exceed the minimum annual recognition level of $1,000 in annual support during the course of the fiscal year running July 1 to June 30. Members may renew their gift annually to retain membership.
To become a member of the William McKendree Society, please call Lauren Frizzo, the Annual Fund Coordinator, at 618-537-6500.
