By supporting the fundamental operations of McKendree, gifts to the Annual Fund impact almost every area on campus. Annual fund gifts support:

• student scholarships
• faculty recruitment and retention
• library resources and acquisitions
• computer upgrades
• new technology in classrooms and labs
• facilities maintenance
• academic and administrative expenses

Each year the tuition paid by our students covers roughly 62% of the total funding it takes to provide a student with the McKendree University experience. The other 38% of the funds necessary to sustain and grow McKendree are provided by the gifts received by the McKendree University Annual Fund.                                                             

Those who support the McKendree Annual Fund believe students deserve the opportunity to succeed.  Because we believe that students deserve the opportunity to succeed, the role of the annual fund is to raise unrestricted dollars to support the McKendree experience.  By engaging alumni, parents, and friends of the college in giving and participation, we can give students the opportunity to develop into successful individuals while experiencing university life.  Open communication, volunteer opportunities, networking, and philanthropic education are the tools we use to provide our students with an appropriate atmosphere for them to succeed.
