Dr. Gordon has four main goals for the Faculty in Residence program at McKendree University; they are community building, information sharing, closer interaction with faculty, and life learning. Below are the programs she has planned to meet each of those goals.
Community Building
Book Club
For the fall, we will be reading the Harry Potter series.
Movie Series
For the fall, we will be watching vampire themed movies.
Information Sharing
“Ask Dr. Gordon”
Dr. Gordon will be available in the clubhouse one night a week to offer advice and help the McKendree West students with their academic issues.
Meet the Faculty/Staff
Each month Dr. Gordon will invite a new group of faculty and staff members to McKendree West. This gives the McKendree West students and opportunity to get to know the faculty and staff of McKendree University outside of the classroom or office.

Faculty Awards
For the fall, the McKendree West staff is planning a Faculty Awards program. The residents of McKendree West will get to decide which faculty members receive these awards!
Best of West
For the spring, the McKendree West staff members will be recognizing students that do outstanding academic work.
Meal Auctions
In the fall, McKendree West residents will have an opportunity to bid on a meal with some of their favorite faculty and staff members.

In the fall, there will be different types of programs available to teach McKendree West residents apartment dwelling skills.
