Southern Illinois Education Association

SIEA is McKendree University’s chapter of the Student Illinois Education Association. We are a professional organization which links students who are planning a career in teaching with a state and national teacher's organization. Membership in this program can provide students with professional contacts throughout the state and nation, up-to-date information that goes beyond skills learned in a college classroom, publications at the national and state level, liability insurance coverage anytime you are in a classroom, professional workshops, resume and networking services. The organization on the McKendree campus offers monthly meetings with presenters and various other on-going projects, such as a student mentor program and on-campus LiveText workshops. Other projects include community outreach and a McKendree Conference day.
