They will watch movies in the band room if needing the early drop-off time. The rehearsals will begin promptly at 9:00am. Monday – Wednesday camp will end at 5:00pm – campers must be picked up no later than 5:30pm. Thursday is our concert (6:00pm) so we will have a pizza party during the 5:00pm hour – campers will go home after the performance.  The concert is free and open to the public.

Required Items:

Students must bring their instrument, pencil, and a music stand to rehearsal every day.

Audition Music:

We will have two bands this summer based on ability level. Students will take a short (stress free) audition Monday morning for placement. This will allow us to challenge all students at the level they are currently at – giving them a fantastic experience.

Students need to play the following for band/chair placement:

Woodwinds and Brass – Concert B-flat Major and Concert F Major Scales (as many octaves as possible, any tempo the student can play the scales cleanly)

Percussion – Mallets: Concert B-flat and F Major Scales and Snare: short sight-reading piece

Concert Attire:

Black shoes, black socks, black pants, camp t-shirt (student will get this on Thursday afternoon)

Forms:

Please download, print, and complete the following package of forms (hold harmless, photo release, and medical information).  Bring the completed documents with you to camp registration (starting at 8:00am Monday morning).

Camp will conclude with a culminating performance open to the public Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m.
