About Auditions at McKendree
-
Auditions will consist of scene work from the script.
-
It is not necessary to prepare a monologue.
-
After filling out an audition form, you will be given scenes from the script and matched up with other auditioners.
-
You will have time to review the scene and practice your readings.
-
When you return to the theater, you will be asked to perform your scene for the director.
-
You may be given notes and asked to repeat a portion of the scene.
-
You and your partner may also be asked to switch roles and do the scene again
-
Attendance for the full three hours of auditions is not required
-
If you have a conflict with this audition time, contact Michelle Magnussen to schedule an alternate time
-
Part of the audition sheet that you will fill out is a calendar showing your rehearsal availability. Bring your class and work schedules to auditions.
