ASA Style
The American Sociological Association Style Guide was designed for use by authors preparing manuscripts for publication in American Sociological Association (ASA) journals. This page is intended for students who are instructed to use "ASA Style" when writing research papers.
Please consult the 5th edition of A Guide to Writing Sociology Papers (HM585.G782001) which is currently on Reserve at the Circulation Desk for additional help.
Please consult the Style Guide for answers to questions not covered here. Note that there have been changes in ASA's style guidelines for electronic resources with the publication of the 2nd edition of the Style Guide.
Because electronic media change rapidly, we will update this page regularly as there are additions, changes, or clarifications to ASA style.
