Mathematics Department
Are you interested in mathematics? Do you enjoy problem solving and puzzles? If so, you should consider being a mathematics major. A degree in mathematics focuses on problem solving and communicating technical information, both skills highly sought after by employers. If you enjoy teaching, consider the degree track in secondary education. If you are considering a career in banking or finance, consider the actuarial track. If you intend to pursue an advanced degree (in mathematics, law, or medicine) consider the pure mathematics track. You can also combine the pure mathematics track with a major or minor in another field, preparing for a career as an analyst in the industry of your choice.
