Video Editor

McKendree University is seeking a Video Editor to join the University Communications and Marketing team to coordinator development of video storytelling for our University community.  This individual will focus primarily on creating student testimonial videos, branded admission and fundraising videos/commercials, and social medial digital content.  Will also be responsible for handling all phases of video production (conceptualizing/storyboarding, production shooting, and post-production editing, exporting, and posting), and coordinating of talent and interviews.

The ideal candidate will possess strong working knowledge of Mac computers and advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite software, including but not limited to Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Adobe After Effects CC, as well as other digital media storytelling programs.  Must be proficient in working with professional DSLR cameras and video equipment (stabilizers, tripods, lavalier mics, lighting equipment, glide cams, audio recorders, etc.) and in editing and proofing copy.  Advanced knowledge of editing, motion graphics and animation skills, and experience with encoding and compression is required.  Must also excel in creativity, show initiative and independence in carrying out responsibilities, work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and create innovative work under tight deadlines.  Some evening and weekend work required.

A bachelor's degree in video, broadcast media or new media design, plus three years' professional commercial videography experience is required. Strong photography and graphic/web design is a plus.
