Assistant Professor of Sociology
McKendree University seeks a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology to begin Fall 2014. Position requires an earned doctoral degree in sociology or closely related discipline with demonstrated excellence in teaching. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, but degree must be completed by start date. The successful candidate will have expertise in gender or sexualities, and the ability to teach either research methods or theory. Additional interests might include race and ethnic relations, family, religion, and/or sociology of sport. The teaching load is 12 hours per semester. The candidate will also advise students and participate in scholarship and service.
