Part-Time Instructor of Counseling

McKendree University seeks a qualified candidate to teach the Grief, Loss, and Crisis Intervention class in our Professional Counseling Program for summer at its Lebanon, Illinois campus.

The candidate must have a solid understanding of the unique emotional process and counseling techniques for grief and loss as they occur across the life span. They should also have a theoretical and practical background in crisis intervention in community settings and an understanding of the impact of trauma-causing events.

A doctorate in counselor education is highly desired. Three or more years of graduate teaching experience is preferred. The class meets two times weekly for six weeks and begins June 2017.
