Help Desk Technician

McKendree University seeks a Help Desk Technician to provide first line technical support for the university’s technology help desk. The ideal candidate will have education and experience in information and education technologies. The position will provide support for printing student identification cards; account management; pc, mac, and printer support; virus and security support; course management system; Microsoft Office applications; and classroom audio/visual technologies. This position includes training users in individual and group settings.

Desirable qualities include technical proficiencies, a strong work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills, and expertise in effectively presenting to a group. Associate’s degree in information technology or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
