Head Powerlifting Coach/Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

McKendree University is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a full-time head coach for the Power Lifting Program and Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at its Lebanon, IL campus.

The successful candidate will minimally possess a bachelor’s degree while also holding the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. It is preferred the candidate have significant experience with the sport of Powerlifting and experience with the United States of America Powerlifting (USAPL) and/or the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF).

The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting student athletes to participate in the Powerlifting program, managing the operational budget of the program, assuming responsibility of overseeing the development of the in-season schedule and out-of-season practices and workout arrangements, and maintaining compliance with all guidelines and regulations.  The successful candidate will also be assisting with the Athletic Strength and Conditioning Department in delivering services to other athletic teams as well as fulfilling other University objectives in the area of health and wellness.  Travel required.
