Director of Golf Operations

The Hills Golf Club at McKendree in Lebanon, IL seeks a Director of Golf Operations to manage all aspects relative to golf at the club, including its activities and the relationships between the club and its guests, employees, community, government and industry.  The position reports to the Director of Athletics at McKendree University.

In this role, you will
coordinate and administer club's policies, develop departmental sales plan including specific tactics for revenue generation, be responsible for setting club goals, develop business and financial plans, monitor club performance, devise and implement actions to ensure the club's performance, manage and direct the work of all employees, implement and monitor the budget and the quality of the club's products and services, and ensure maximum guest satisfaction.

For this highly visible position, we seek a highly motivated, multi-talented individual with three to five years of club experience, experience as a General Manager is preferred, strong leadership skill, experience with club management in the areas of sales and marketing, food and beverage, golf operations, finance, and community relations and involvement.  The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, an out-front management style, strong revenue generation and guest relation skills.
