Chair of the School of Education

The School of Education at McKendree University seeks a full-time tenure-track faculty member to serve as chair of the School, effective August 2014. The Chair will be responsible for overall leadership and administration of the School of Education, including oversight of academic programs, faculty evaluation, course scheduling, budgeting, and support of faculty productivity and professional development. This is a 9-month faculty position with 12-month administrative duties. Appropriate release time and compensation for administrative duties will be provided.

The successful candidate will have an earned doctoral degree in Education from a regionally accredited institution; rank to be determined based on qualifications. Previous public/parochial classroom teaching and college-level experience required. Administrative experience and familiarity with state and national assessment systems preferred.
