Assistant Professor of Economics

McKendree University seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics to begin August 2018.

The McKendree University School of Business offers a B.B.A. degree with a significant general education component and several majors, including majors in Economics and Economics/Finance.  The School of Business also offers an M.B.A. program.  The successful candidate will teach introductory economics courses and upper-level economics electives as appropriate. Additionally, this candidate may also teach undergraduate finance courses and some MBA courses.

The position requires an earned doctoral degree in Economics or a related field.  If the doctoral degree is in a related field, then a Master’s degree in Economics or an M.B.A is preferred.  Strong consideration will be given to candidates with college-level teaching experience who also have experience in business, industry, or a professional firm.

Day and evening classes are taught on the McKendree University campus in Lebanon, IL, at other nearby locations, and online  Faculty participate in teaching, advising, scholarly activity, and service to the University and community.
