Assistant Professor of Psychology

The department of Psychology at McKendree University invites applications for a tenure-track
faculty appointment in the area of Clinical or Counseling Psychology. McKendree University
is seeking a highly motivated individual who will support the mission of the university
by providing a high quality educational experience and emphasizing responsible citizenship,
engagement, academic excellence, and lifelong learning.
The successful candidate must possess an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) or be
ABD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. Responsibilities include: teaching courses
such as, abnormal psychology, psychological tests and measurement, introduction to
psychology, and clinical and counseling psychology; student advising; serving on university
committees; and maintaining a research program preferably that will involve students.
Other teaching responsibilities will depend on specialization and may include cognitive
