Smoke Free Illinois Act

Effective January 1, 2008, the Smoke-Free Illinois Act will “…prohibit smoking in a public place or place of employment or within 15 feet of an entrance to a public place or place of employment.”  In compliance with the Act, McKendree University has placed approved ‘No Smoking’ signs at every entrance. The Act also includes provisions which could result in fines for anyone caught in violation.
