Emerging Leaders Series Guidelines
Emerging Leaders Series Guidelines
Program Guidelines:
Students are encouraged to sign up for the program by Wednesday, September 13 at Noon.
This program is open to all students.
The Emerging Leader Certificate is earned by:
Attending all 9 Emerging Leader Workshops
Submit a Leadership Portfolio at the end of the Series.
The portfolio will assist you in reflecting upon what you have learned from participation in the Leadership Development Series.
In addition to helping you make meaning of your experiences, the portfolio can also be helpful in job interview processes.
It would be beneficial to continually update your portfolio after each session you attend.
The following things should be represented in your portfolio.
Answers to the reflection questions should be typed and organized in a professional manner.
Be creative in developing the portfolio.
It is possible that employers may view your portfolio, so make sure that it reflects who you are as a person, and how you have grown from the experience.
Write a paragraph minimum, one page maximum on each of the workshops that you attended.
Answer the following in your reflection:
Reflect on what you learned in this session.
Include specific examples of the most significant things you learned and why those things had meaning for you as a leader.
How have you applied what you learned?
What impact will it have on your leadership journey?
Leadership Portfolios are due for review at the Office of Student Affairs by 5pm on December 13
