Let the circle drive of the Piper Academic Building become your canvas when the McKendree University Campus Activities Board hosts the first annual Spring Fling Chalk the Circle Event.  It will be held in April and is completely free to enter.  Unfortunately with the limited amount of spaces, entries will be first come, first served.  We invite you to enjoy a wonderful day and show off your artistic talents.

Each square of the circle drive will be marked off so clubs, organizations, families, and other individuals may create colorful works of art by using sidewalk chalk.  We also invite you enjoy the musical entertainment, inflatable games, food and fun that our Spring Fling event brings to campus.

Campus Activities Board will provide pastel chalk for each Sidewalk Chalk participant.  For you to add enhancements to your artwork, you are encouraged to bring additional items (ie. Sponges and water for blending, etc.)  Did we mention food?  Each artist will receive a complimentary pass which will allow them to enjoy items from our concession stand.

Awards

Our event will consist of three award categories:

a.       Blue Ribbon – Best Mural of the Event

b.      People’s Choice

c.       Most Unique or Creative Artwork

We will leave the design style up to you.  Whether classic, modern, contemporary, fantasy…it is your choice.
