Volunteer Alerts

--Rev. Brian Pope of Fresh Start Community Church in Lebanon is requesting volunteers on behalf of the Community Care Coalition to assist with Angel Food Ministries.  The Angel Food Ministries helps people of all income levels buy approximately $60 worth of food for $30.  They are looking for a building they can use once a month to distribute these orders and some helpers to take orders and distribute food.  Interested persons should contact Pastor Brian at (314) 783-7729.

--We are starting a new volunteer campaign on campus. We want everyone to think about their talents and how those talents can be shared with others.  We have such a talented group of students, faculty and staff on our campus.  Athletes, musicians, debaters, dancers, artists, people with skills in math, computer science, creative writing, etc. --you have so much to offer children, the elderly, the disabled and those suffering from the effects of poverty. Think of the many ways you can share your gifts. The Center for Public Service can help you find meaningful opportunities to do just that in our area. Please stop by during our office hours or call us at 6900.

If you are academic scholars you do 15 hours of community service a year.  Now you can do all of your hours sharing your talents in debate, athletics, music, art, etc. with others in our area. You are no longer restricted in the number of hours you can do in an extracurricular area in which you already participate.
