The Nomination and Selection Process

The Nomination and selection process

Technos International Week participation is open to sophomores and first-year students.  Each candidate must have an outstanding grade point average and a deep interest in Japan and its culture and history.  Candidates, chosen through a process of nomination by faculty members, are asked to submit personal and academic information and essays to a committee comprised of former faculty participants.  The candidates are interviewed and a ranking of their candidacy is submitted to the president of the University for his recommendation to administrators of the Tanaka Ikueikai Educational Trust.

McKendree faculty are asked to submit applications for participation, and from these, the president makes a recommendation to the Tanaka Ikueikai Educational Trust.
