For the faculty who have traveled to Japan, the incorporation of their experiences into the coursework in their chosen disciplines is common. Even in anticipation of applying to accompany the trip to Japan, one of our faculty members conducted an in-depth review of Japanese literature and upon her return, weaved the study of traditional Japanese literature, poetry and music into her lectures and assignments.
