Franklin Neighborhood
What is it? A communty outreach program at Franklin Grade School in Belleville. Students tutor or make crafts with the children.
When is it? Tutoring is on Mondays from 3:00-5:00 P.M., and crafts is on Thursdays from 3:00-5:00 P.M. Meet at Upper Deneen.
Why would I want to do that? "It's a great time interacting with the students!" ~Casie Artensen, Franklin Coordinator
*New! Meet the Coordinator!*
Casie Artensen is a Junior studying Organizational Communication and Business Administration. In addition to planning numerous special events for the CPS, Casie is a member of Lambda Pi Eta and enjoys exercising, shopping and spending time with friends and family. She is also a major professional wrestling fan.
Casie loves Franklin because she gets "to see the children grow, develop and face challenges and witness the the connections that develop with the children and volunteers. She loves "just having the young students run up and give you a hug and greet you with pure excitement just because you are there."
