Sports Hall Of Fame Purpose

The purpose of the organization is to recognize those individuals who, through leadership and character, have made exceptional contributions to the honor and prestige of McKendree in the field of athletics, and who have continued to demonstrate, in their daily lives, the values imparted through intercollegiate athletics.

Former Athletes


	Recipient of at least two letter awards in one sport or one award in two sports, or such an outstanding performance in a sponsored sports program as to have attracted special attention and, to have merited a varsity award had one been available.

	Member of a class that graduated at least five years earlier.

	Achievement so outstanding as to eliminate any question as to selection.

	A graduate of McKendree or a non-graduate whose last collegiate sports competition was at McKendree.

Former Coaches


	Tenure of at least five years at McKendree.

	A passage of five years’ time since retirement or departure is recommended.

	Outstanding contribution to the McKendree athletic program.

Alumni Coaches and Sports Professionals


	Outstanding performance as a coach, official, sports writer, sports photographer, or other sports professional.

	Member of a class that graduated at least ten years earlier.

	Achievement so outstanding as to eliminate any question as to selection.
