Welcome to McKendree University and the Athletic Training Rooms.  The mission of the McKendree University sports medicine staff is to provide comprehensive care to the student athlete.  This care is critical to the success of McKendree student athletes on and off the field. McKendree University sports medicine staff takes pride in aiding in the success of Bearcat athletics; through the role they play in the prevention, rehabilitation, treatment and performance improvement through the combined efforts of staff athletic trainers and team physicians. 
  
The sports medicine staff works in conjunction with team physicians.  Dr. Lawrence Stein is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and has a fellowship in sports medicine.  Dr. Stein primarily takes care of consultation of orthopedic injuries and rehabilitation that occur with the student athletes. Dr. Stein also conducts special seminars on athletic injuries, conducts physicals and is present at all home football games.  Dr. Noffsinger teaches at the St. Louis University Medical School and is certified in sports medicine.  Dr. Noffsinger provides weekly visitation hours in the McKendree University training room and also teaches the general medical course to the athletic training students.  Dr. Noffsinger conducts physicals and is present at all home football games.  The team physicians are critical to the success of the McKendree University athletic teams and are readily available to assist in the treatment of athletic injuries. 
 
McKendree University offers an Athletic Training Education Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).  Please contact Dawn Hankins Ph.D., ATC/L.  Program Director for the Athletic Training Education Program at dhankins@mckendree.edu or click on the following link for information.

All athletes must complete the Medical History Questionnaire and Insurance and Emerency Information Form before participation in McKendree University athletics.
