Jon Meacham was named Managing Editor of Newsweek in November 1998. He is involved in the day-to-day editorial coverage of the magazine and oversees and assigns stories to Newsweek reporters worldwide. Meacham’s newest book, "American Gospel: God, the Founding Fathers, and the Making of a Nation" hit the New York Times bestseller list upon publication.
