Verdi’s La Traviata
Thursday, July 2, 7:30 PMA fully staged performance of Giuseppi Verdi’s masterpiece, La Traviata performed with full orchestra, soloists and chorus. The opera will be sung in Italian (with English Supertitles). Principal singers are Laura Portune of New York (Violetta), Jay Morrissey of Chicago (Alfredo), David Dillard of the SIUC faculty (Germont) and Katie Calcamuggio of Chicago (Flora).
