The world famous Harlem Gospel Choir is one of the pre-eminent gospel choirs in the world. The choir was founded in 1986 by Allen Bailey, who was inspired to form the choir while attending a celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the renowned Cotton Club in Harlem. The choir is a gathering of many of the finest singers and musicians from various churches in Harlem.
