Dear Band and / or Choir Director,
Thanks for taking the time out of your extremely busy schedule to assist our students with their Band and Choral Organization class projects. I have said numerous times that their best sources of information come from you – the teachers who are currently working with the elementary, junior high and high school students out in the field. Your input in especially important to us because our music education degree here at McKendree was based upon your suggestions! Required classes and topics covered in those classes such as Band and Choral Organization, Marching and Jazz Techniques and the way we implement our conducting and instrumental methods classes were based directly upon YOUR thoughts and ideas. That is why we work so hard to live up to our mantra – A Music Education Degree Built BY Music Educators FOR Music Educators! The students and I thank you for your willingness to share your expertise and ideas with them so that they can be the best prepared teachers they can be upon graduation from McKendree!
